Founders

The company was founded by a highly experienced team of medical and business professionals led by Philip J. Ginsburg M.D., Louis D. Wright M.D.,  Daniel H. Farkas Ph.D., HCLD and Robin L. Vedova, MSEL. The founders are seasoned executives with world-wide expertise in molecular diagnostic testing.

Philip J. Ginsburg, M.D.
Dr. Ginsburg has over 20 years of commercial medical laboratory experience as a principal at Lancet Laboratories, a large national laboratory in South Africa. While at Lancet he focused on growing and running the regional laboratories which were serviced by the company’s centralized headquarters.  In 1997, Dr. Ginsburg was the Medical Director at Quest Diagnostics laboratory and consulted for many companies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, while developing a large network within the medical laboratory and pharmaceutical industries in the United States and international arena.  He was also the Senior Medical Director at Gen-Probe Incorporated, where he provided clinical and strategic leadership for the company. 

Louis D. Wright, M.D.
Dr. Wright developed Professional Diagnostic Laboratories, a large independent laboratory which was subsequently acquired by LabCorp. He has many years of experience in contract negotiation with hospitals, third-party payers, and national laboratory companies. He is co-chair of the Molecular Pathology Working Group of the College of American Pathology Council on Government and Professional Affairs, which explores opportunities for pathologists to deliver advanced technology molecular testing to patients throughout the United States. 

Daniel H. Farkas, PhD, HCLD
Dr. Farkas has been involved in molecular diagnostics for nearly twenty years, in both hospital and diagnostic industry settings and is a recognized expert in the field.  He has been active in many industry associations, including the American Association for Clinical Chemistry, on whose Board of Directors he serves; the College of American Pathologists; and the Association for Molecular Pathology, of which he was President in 2003.  Dr. Farkas serves on the editorial boards of several molecular pathology journals, and was a member of the FDA Clinical Molecular Genetics Advisory panel. He holds the credentials of High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) and Clinical Consultant (CC) from ABB.

Robin L. Vedova, MSEL
Mrs. Robin Vedova has been connected with the healthcare industry since 1979.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership from the University of San Diego and has been in executive level positions with Gen-Probe Incorporated and CovX Research LLC.  Ms. Vedova is an active member of the Corporate Director’s Forum and a founding board member for the Southern California Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.
